Lewis Jue

     My journey begins in 1957 in Houston, Texas. Born at St Joseph Hospital in downtown Houston and the youngest of 7 siblings. Grew up in one of the many impoverished ghetto neighborhoods in Houston, where we worked our way out of the ghettos by us all graduating from college. As for me, I graduated from Texas A&M with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Through scholarships and savings from working, we all paid for our own education. Military service became a family tradition. My father was a WWII veteran and my oldest brother was a Vietnam War veteran. Two other brothers and myself all became US Army commissioned officers upon graduation from college.

     An engineering job brought me to the Dallas area in 1982. My neighbor was a State Farm insurance agent and by 1988, he convinced me to make a career change and become a State Farm insurance agent as well. My appointment as an insurance agent came on November 1st, 1988 in The Colony, TX. I became the second State Farm insurance agent in The Colony and the first Chinese State Farm insurance agent in North Texas. Becoming an insurance agent allowed me access to the community. It led to my involvement and support of various community organizations and even the opportunity to be involved in politics, where I served two terms as a City councilman.

   We strive to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams. I am grateful for my loyal customers, many of which have become my friends. State Farm is shifting to a new generation of insurance agents and a more modern approach to insurance which is needed to keep up with the rapid changes of the environment that we live in. Relationships are important to me. I appreciate and value all of my customers and care about what happens in their lives. I don't want to be "just" an insurance agent. My customers can be assured that I will be honest and be straight forward with them. I will fight for what is right. As a former military officer and ministry leader, integrity and truth matters. I will not lie, steal, or cheat or will tolerate those who do, to obtain or to keep business. My character and integrity is important to me and I hope it is important to my current and future customers also.    

     State Farm insurance has also allowed me the flexibility to participate in what brings me the greatest amount of joy besides my granddaughter and that is, serving in various ministry opportunities. My wife and I have been involved with different ministries for the past 20yrs. We have been around the world and seen many things. We are very fortunate to be living in America and have the freedom to make choices. I feel very blessed for everything I have. I have lived through the loss of a number of loved ones and the loss and destruction property. I understand the feeling of losing something that is important to us.
